If a big part of your marketing involves farming a community with direct mail and internet marketing – you want to consider taking your marketing to a new direction and actually create a professionally shot video highlighting the best parts of this community and spreading that video online everywhere your potential buyers are found and to also feature it prominently on your website and blog.
YouTube lets you know promote your videos by letting them showcase them alongside related videos that your future clients might be looking at. It is extremely inexpensive compared to other forms of advertising and community video, which actually showcases you indirectly, can work very effectively here. Install a call to action in the video for more information that can drive traffic to your website so now you can market back to these folks.
We also work to find hyper local bloggers in your metro area. If you community video is entertaining and fun to watch then it is a possibility that they might want to feature it in their local blogs. Not only that gets your more exposure locally but you also get access to new eyes that you might have never reached using your traditional methods of advertising.
Showoff your valuable team members
// April 19th, 2009 // No Comments » // Residential Real Estate Agents
If you are a really busy real estate agent then your team plays a strong part in your success. More likely your clients will deal as much as with your team as they will with you. That is why it is a good idea to put a face on the voice on the phone and a heart beat behind the emails your clients will be getting from your office. We always thought that the people behind the scenes need to be a part of your RockStar You video stories as the main attraction which is you.
There are some businesses I can think of which are not really team sports. Your business of being a successful residential real estate agent is not one of them. Also we believe that your future clients are also comforted by meeting your team on video before calling your office to setup an appointment with you.
So bring the team out. We want to get their smiles for the world to see.
The 2 P’s that run real estate
// April 17th, 2009 // No Comments » // Residential Real Estate Agents
Real estate has been and always been a business where is very people-centric. People tend to business in this industry as much as based on personality as anything else. The challenge has always been: how do you tell a potential client about the true when all you have to give them is a business card?
To make matters worse – your business card looks EXACTLY like the other 500 agents in your city.
I have always tried very hard to avoid gimmicks in our videos. Our production and creative team wants to use our Rock Star You video to tell your story. To let your personality shine through. Because we believe it is your personality that your clients are going to remember when they are done watching the online video.
How to set yourself apart when everybody is discounting commissions
// April 17th, 2009 // No Comments » // Residential Real Estate Agents
Everybody is either discounting their commissions to get a good listing or worse competing against the flat free listing services that are doing a good job of convincing home sellers that in today’s market, a real estate agent would have as much as a hard time selling their home as they would so why not skip the real estate agent, go discount commissions service route and save on the commission?
Face it – your business is a lot tougher today than it was three years, five years ago. And it is not getting any easier any time soon.
That is why first impressions matter but setting yourself as far apart as possible from your competition matters even more. Even in today’s tough market conditions there is huge number of agents in every metro area fighting for a shrinking number of listings.
It is simply not enough to set up a website. Or setup a blog. You have to work on creating a personal brand where home sellers in your target zip codes simply want to work with you because they saw your Rock Star You video, they liked your personality, they loved your story, they enjoyed meeting your support team all through online video.
You are not your competition. You know it. And it is time you told your story as strongly and convincingly as you can to every home seller in your market.
